Excellent news! When will you be able to go home? Or are you home already? They don't keep people in very long anymore. Anesthesia recovery is so much quicker. Wishing all good things ahead!

It was only overnight, discovered I am not a fan of sleeping upright. Things have certainly changed since my last operation 47 years ago, had lump taken out of neck, was in for a week then. My oxygen levels were down so had oxygen on all night, also pressure socks on felt like having a blood pressure monitor on your legs, went of every 10 seconds, all to stop blood clots. Didnt get much sleep, feeling good today. My nurse Elena was a lovely young girl, she is going in to have her right thyroid removed next week. She was so happy to see me and that it will be okay, hopefully hers will also. Her nodule grew very fast over the past week, has thyroid cancer in the family, lost her brother 2 years ago to it. She said I had made her feel a lot better about having it done, knows what to expect. I just hope she will be okay. Thank you for caring.

@lynnebgraham Hoping you are sleeping better now that you are home! Will you need to take thyroid pills when the dust settles?

Sleeping a lot, but feeling really good. No soreness at all around the operation site. Was surprised with the size of the cut though. Roughly 3 inches. Looks good though. Apparently I wont need any tablets, as I will still have the other half to continue doing its job. Time will tell I guess.

@janemc Feeling good, very surprised the operation site does not hurt. Feels quite good not to have a lump in my throat when I swallow, so very happy about that.
I am also in the process of changing from HU back to Anagrelide, so very happy about that.
On both at the moment, only taking HU every second night along with Anagrelide, will be so happy when I am totally off HU. Cheers Lynne
