What really helps feet with neuropathy
It’s really frustrating not to know if a false AI response with a real Doctor is legitimate. Scary

Welcome @adria36, Great question with not so many helpful answers out there and that is why we all need to be diligent when looking for reliable neuropathy information. There are many different members who have asked the same question in another discussion here:
-- What treatment helps for feet neuropathy?: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/treatment-for-periferic-neuropathy/
Has your doctor or neurologist offered any treatment suggestions for pins, needles, numbness and red skin that you mentioned in your post in another discussion?

1 ReactionWhat tends to genuinely help foot symptoms from Peripheral Neuropathy is a combination approach rather than a single fix using medications like Gabapentin, Pregabalin, or Duloxetine to reduce nerve pain signals, applying topical treatments such as lidocaine or capsaicin for localized relief, wearing well-cushioned supportive shoes and protecting the feet to prevent irritation or injury, keeping circulation going with gentle movement or stretching, and most importantly identifying and treating the underlying cause such as Diabetes Mellitus or vitamin deficiencies while being cautious of any advice (AI or otherwise) that promises quick cures and instead relying on guidance that aligns with established medical practice.

3 ReactionsHas anyone tried prickly pear cactus supplements for nerve pain?
Hello @dianala, Welcome to Connect. I haven't seen any posts on prickly pear cactus (Nopal Cactus) supplements for nerve pain but there may be some who have tried it and hopefully will share what they learned. I don't really think there has been much research done into it's use in supplements form but did find some references if you haven't already seen them:
-- Prickly Pear and Fibromyalgia: A Conceptual Protocol for Plant-Based Symptom Management: https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/17/21/3441
"If you have diabetes, you should be particularly careful when consuming nopal cactus or its supplements, as it can affect your blood sugar. Talk to your doctor before taking it, and make sure that you check your blood sugar frequently when testing it."

Are you on any medications for the nerve pain?
Acupuncture helped my neighbor tremendously with her neuropathy due to chemo. The neuropathy had gotten to the point she would wake up crying from the pain. It was surprising how effective and quickly her symptoms subsided.

1 Reaction@dianala I will now, headed to Moab Utah in a few days - maybe I’ll just pick some fresh too! Thanks for the tip
@johnbishop
Upon diagnosis, my neurologist said there was nothing he could for it. He ordered Gabapentin, I took it three weeks. It made me loopy and masked the pain but did nothing for the neuropathy,
I researched neuropathy and found a chiropractor certified in neuropathy. I do two treatments twice daily: ReBuilder electrical stimulation and Anodyne infrared lights, In addition, two supplements of Vasopro and Greensberry. At first I had biweekly chiropractor visits consisting of manipulation, spinal decompression. Vibration platform, and Denner Roll which are helpful.
Now I have weekly visits. It was pricey, but I wasn’t screaming in pain. Again, it manages the pain.
I am contemplating ordering Neuro Salt, developed by Dr OZ. The ads say it cures neuropathy.

I'm not sure I would waste money on Neuro Salt. From what I've read the Dr OZ ad is an artificial intelligence (AI) scam and Dr Oz is not associated with the product like many of the other neuropathy scams on the market. I wasn't able to find any scientific research on the product.

I’m a realtor and two minutes ago I received a scammer’s email requesting a ZOOM call, No phone number. They either want to infect your computer or tap into it to gain financial or beneficial info. At least 10 people in my office got the same email,
