Took the test for TB. Came back negative.
On 4th week now. Shoulders still aren't quite right. Feel tired and can't raise arms above shoulders without pain.
Dr is keeping me on predesone due to my knee injury (messed up 3 ligaments, delaminated minuscus, burst Bakers cyst) OKd for PT. As swelling goes down, he will taper me off the steroid.
He is hoping that the major inflation of my injured knee triggered this...( Also having COVID 3x might not help).

Dr is now petitioning the insurance company to see if we can switch to a biologic. His first choice is Humara, but insurance doesn't cover it...

Thanks for all the info

@lairelhighlander there are biosimilars for Humira (Hadlima, Hyrimoz, and Cyltezo that were launched after Humira 's patent expired in 2023) that your insurance company may cover.

I was denied Rituxan but the following week was covered for Ruxience - essentially the same drug but a biosimilar that was formulary and covered under their pharmacy benefits.

Sorry you're going through this. I had Covid 5 times and my doctor is convinced that it put my immune system into overdrive. Hopefully with a biologic, you'll get some of this inflammation under control which will lead to you feeling better.

Humira has many biosimilars approved and covered now. Your Dr. can prescribe it as generic adalimumab and discuss with your insurance which one they will provide coverage for.
