Hi,
I was 67 when I got TNC stage 2 B.
You will have a cancer team, oncologist, surgeon, maybe radiologist.
I started with chemo because my tumor was large, 5.8 cm.
Then I had a single masectomy and stayed flat didn't want any more surgeries.
Then I had 15 days of radiation. Then I had xeloda a chemo pill, then I had zomeda for 3 years. This helps to not get reoccurrence in bones.
Once you talk with your oncologist you will get a plan of what treatment she will be needing. They have really good meds now to help not get sick from the chemo.
I am almost 73 now and at my 5 year mark.
Sending hugs to you both.

@dolphina3 hi before you had your mastectomy did you have a contrast injected into your breast? I am scheduled for right breast mastectomy soon and Dr mentioned have an injection of contrast a few hours before
Someone mentioned itbwas into the breast 😬

@dolphina3 thank you so much. On further advanced fish test, she is found to be HER2 positive and amplified .
Doctor (Onco) had now prescribed weekly chemo plus phesgo drug (once in three weeks) for 18 cycles and then will undergo mastectomy of single breast followed by radiation. She is now admitted today and will start with the treatment ( install chemo port and 1st cycle). Hope she is able to cope up and tolerate.
