I have peripheral neuropathy (unknown type, but not diabetic. My neurologist has tried every blood test available, and they all came back normal.)
I guess that is good, but the pain and burning in my feet never stops. I'm trying Lyrica (pregabalen) now, but with no results so far. I'm awake most of the night because of the burning. I soak my feet in ice water (doing so as I write this) then when they feel numb from freezing, I go to bed and get from 15 minutes to an hour and a half sleep before I do it again. Probably very bad for my feet, but it's the only relief I have.

Don't know about ice but do it in my gym which is blessed with a cold water plunge , not ice pool, and do get relief. Not diabetic either, but copious amonts of red wine over decades ...my fault!
