My daughter was diagnosed after genetic testing for HSP came back inconclusive. She has most of the symptoms of it so thats what her first neurologist based the diagnosis on. She is 35 years old and had been working a full time job with 3 girls and all of a sudden could not keep her balance. It is progressing very rapidly. Seems like something new happens every day now. I understand that it is supposed to be a slow progression but not for her. She has had numerous MRI's of C, T and L spine as well as the brain. Nerve conduction study EMG x2 normal. No family history of ANY paraplegia, paralysis. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

@wderryberry
Check with an ENT - try to get into a highly rated medical center to see a specialist.
It could be issues with her ears. There are many ear problems that can affect balance...too many to make any assumptions. But without a doubt, medical issues with the ears affect balance.
