@gulfer Welcome to Mayo Connect - and the Parkinson's group discussion. What a great question! I went on the internet and found one article from the NIH about Parkinson's and sun exposure - related to Vitamin D, here is the website,
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4808871/
What do you do regarding sun exposure and your PD diagnosis? Has anyone asked their doctor this question?
By the way @gulfer, have you just recently been diagnosed?

My mom recently dianosed last week. They told only hand tremor last year and gave her a tremor medicine mysoline. Her right hand is shaking at rest. Her walking was ok. Her walking is still ok. So we just missed a whole year doing nothing about Parkinson. Now she is on pexola 0.375 mg ER for Parkinson. For depression: zoloft and for sleeping:Decirel. She also has Rheumatoid Arthiritis which makes exercise hard for her she is doing a great job walking though. 30 minutes everyday. Well İ cried for a week and then İ got up and told myself you can't help her doing that so İ am researching everyday for her. Thank God İ found that Website and connect group. Thank you everyone for providing that support!! Because my mom does not want to Telli PD to her family and my husband. İ respect her decision cause that is her choice. But talking here was great support for me.Thanks again! And İ can see from the news that there will be some new techniques for PD patients that makes me very hopeful like Emma Watch.
@gulfer I'm so glad that you shared the reason why you found this website and I appreciate your interest in helping your mom. I'm glad to see that you are researching information about Parkinson's Disease (PD) it is always a good thing to be an educated consumer of medical services! Here are some website that offer good information about PD, you can subscribe to regular email updates. The first is the Michael J. Fox Foundation, https://www.michaeljfox.org/ and the second is the National Parkinson's Foundation, http://www.parkinson.org/.
I have never heard of "Emma Watch", could you share some information about this? Is your mom doing better on Pexola? Teresa
