Anyone with AML? If so please let me know anything helpful.

79 y old female with aml. I started chemo but after 3 infusions I became sick hallucinating and breathing and chest pain. Of course stopped chemo. I now am without treatment. Any suggestions not overextended treatment by oncologists. Need help.

Thanks, so much for responding, Lori! Yes, I have AML, am 74 years old.
I’m trying to decide whether to do the sct or not. I’m in good health, but
I’m concerned that I will come out of the process significantly weakened or
frail and that my quality of life would be compromised. Right now, I’m in
remission and feeling pretty decent physically. My mental state is a
struggle because of this decision and it’s implications.

Thank you so much for the well wishes! And sorry for the “derp” typo in my last post;-)
This week was challenging as I spent 7 hours in the ER. I may need to have my gall bladder removed. I see my primary today. My Hem/Onc is in the loop. My scheduled CBC on Monday showed my WBC and Neutrophils the highest they’ve ever been - so high I messaged my Hem/Onc if they were my results! He said they were mine and high due to the gall bladder issue. The ultra sound results came back this morning and the radiologist’s comments were to consult with my MD. Not sure how AML will play into their decision as my platelets (at last CBC) were not in the normal range. I have spoken to several folks who have had their gall bladders removed laparoscopically. Fortunately my Primary and Hem/Onc have referred me to the same surgeon so she is familiar with any surgical decisions/challenges that face cancer patients.
Hugs and prayers to all!
