@3monkeys
The medications he are given are common for AFIB. All of us have different side affects when in AFIB. Some don't feel anything. Many like me have very noticeable side affects.
Why was your husband given 4 months to live? Having AFIB is not a death sentence and he is on specific medication to deal with AFIB side effects. Quite frankly is quite common these days to have AFIB especially later on in life.
Has you husband had a heart attack, has heart failure, other medical condition that would give him such a defined months to live diagnosis?
For me I have had heart failure for over 26 years. I have AFIB on and off for about 20 of those years. I recently had tachycardia which my ICD/Pacemaker shocked me and will have ablation on LV in June.

Let me begin by saying "I'm No Dr. (nor have I had formal medical training), but I was diagnosed with A-Fib 5 years ago. The past 5 years have been a 'Roller-Coaster Ride' with all of the drugs you mention ... however the Dr.'s & Physician Assistants have only prescribed 1 AT A TIME. It just sounds to me like your husbands Dr.'s are over-medicating him. I'm Shocked & Surprised he hasn't had "a basket-full of Side Effects"!
You've asked for Suggestions, so here's Mine: 1st, Ask your husband if he's experiencing Side Effects to All Those (toxic) Medications? If Yes, then next appointment with the Dr. who "prescribed the Medicine-Cabinet Full of Prescriptions" Ask Him Why your husband needs 3 different Medications? Better Yet, have your Husband report to the Dr. the Side Effects he's experiencing & ask him Why He Needs to take 3 medications. If you happen to be at the Pharmacy before you go to the Dr., ask the Pharmacist if other customers are generally prescribed 3 Meds for his heart after having pacemaker surgery.
None of the Cardiologists I've seen in the past 5 years (I've seen 4 in the past 5 years) have prescribed more than 1 prescription at a time.
Again, I'm not a Medical Professional, just a patient who feels like I've been "Thru The Mill".

@3monkeys Whatever the cause, this sounds overwhelming. It’s hard to understand the dire prognosis given the info you’ve shared but plz push your husband’s caregivers for info until you do indeed understand. Hugs
