@howesgoing. Just want to say... Don't give up on finding something to help you sleep! Have you ever tried over the counter Unisom with active ingredient Doxylamine? Make sure the Unisom has that ingredient.....because there is another Unisom that has ingredient Diphenhydramine. That doesn't work quite as well as the Unisom with ingredient Doxylamine. Otherwise, I'd start trying every sleep med out there that your doctor will let you try. And if you have a good doctor....he or she will let you try just about anything, as long as it doesn't interfere with other meds you take. Some meds work for some people but not others. Just gotta keep trying them until you find one that works for you. Flurazepam works great, but is a benzodiazepine, which alot of doctors refuse to prescribe. Wrong in my opinion......sleep is very underrated and is really very very necessary for a person's overall good health. I take Lorazepam because it's good for sleep and anxiety, which I need help with both. And it works great. Also take Amitriptyline along with it. The combination works great for me. Good luck to you.....and again, don't give up. I just kept going back to my doctor telling him what he prescribed wasn't working, and I needed to try something else.
