@aimeefink It can be hard to get a loved one with Parkinson Disease on the correct medication regimen and keep it up. Was your husband diagnosed recently? Why was he hospitalized?

Applying for Medicaid is not dependent on how bad your husband's Parkinson disease is, it depends on whether you have spent all of your money and need help paying your medical bills. Even if he is on Medicare, if the copays exceed your ability to pay and still have money to live on and buy groceries, you can apply for Medicaid for him.
If he is too young for Medicare, but is disabled and can no longer work, he may be eligible for Medicaid.
Like you said, it can be a complicated process, so apply now. Ask for an Intake appointment, and they will provide you with a list of all the information you need to provide. Will you have someone to help you with the application?

@sueinmn I am applying for spousal refusal. He is over 65 and gets Social Security. He has no money and I can't risk my savings I will be wiped out for help. That is why I am trying to get him on medicaide.
