Prolia or Reclast after 12 months Evenity

I’m finishing my 12 months of Evenity injections and would like to hear experiences of Prolia or Reclasp as the follow up medication

I’d say Prolia only if there is no other option . But Reclast is not wonderful either!

I chose Reclast for a few reasons: Highly studied, has been around for 19 years; yearly infusion rather than q6m; my mother took it (although I don't know if it helped her or how many infusions she had; a friend took it with no issues); lots of information about protocols to use to reduce likelihood of flu like symptoms (long infusion time (45 min to 1 hour rather than standard 15 min), saline infusion with it for hydration, Tylenol regularly day of and 2 days after, covered by Medicare B and my supplement. I also had Evenity with good results. I had my first Reclast about 3 weeks ago and did not have side effects (so far).

@deborahla so glad to hear that your medical journey has been positive. I am on the same path except that I took 2 doses of Prolia after Evenity then Reclast. I also had no side effects and I had the infusion in September.

I have had a reclast infusion around a year and a half ago, and also have had no problems with reclast and in fact my new dexa scan showed a big improvement in my numbers, they were up 5 points!👍

I have had a reclast infusion around a year and a half ago, and also have had no problems with reclast and in fact my new dexa scan showed a big improvement in my numbers, they were up 5 points!👍

I've just completed 10 months of Evenity. Although my results were far improved, 7 point improvement, I still have Osteoperosis, and although improved, still am concerned about both building bone and decreasing bone loss. It's been recommended that I do Prolia, 6month injection. I would like to hear from anyone who has followed that protocol with positive results after Evenity.
