Linzess never t working for me anymore? Help!

Could you provide more details? How long, what does, what ritual (when, how much water taken) etc?
When working what did that mean?

@cezanne I use to take it at nite and would go first thing in am.. I have been on it for about 5 years. Then it stopped.. I drink lots of fluids during the day. So now stuck with two Duculax at nite about 3 x week😔

No wonder you are disappointed. I never had pronounced results at all with Linzess but my GI doctor wants me to continue it at max dose. My symptoms change but now I am more aware of triggers and can better stay ahead of extremes. It is challenging and everyone is different.

Does everyone read the instructions that come with your meds. or check the manufacturer's web site? Web site and instructions on script state, "take at least 1/2 hour before your first meal of the day." It works okay for me, not always great but works. Taking at night does not seem optimum.

I get up at 5 and take the Linzess with 6-8 glasses of “warm” water. Wait 1/2 hour then eat breakfast. Try to move around and should start to effect you within 1/2 hour to 45 min. I also take MiraLAX at 6:30 pm mixed with Mag citrate powder and this helps. I also started on the vibrant capsule which causes peristalsis in my colon . All this and I go. I have a lot of scar tissue and no movement without this. It’s a total pain in the A but it works! Linzess doesn’t work for me on its own.

After Green Light PVP surgery, I had BM issues. Gastroenterologist prescribed Linzess. I started taking it 10 days ago. It worked for 9 days within 45 minutes after taking it. However, it did NOT work today.

My question: Are there any restrictions as to what fruits/vegetables should I avoid for it to continue to work?

Update on the vibrant capsule. I have had about a 60% improvement. I still take the MiraLAX and the magnesium at night but I decreased my magnesium and I only have to drink 2 glasses of water with the Linzess every am 30 min prior to breakfast. Before Vibrant my stool never got into my colon or once it did it stayed there, so when I had a BM forced out by the Linzess and all the water it was like explosive soft and when it kicked in I had to go and go quick. Now with the vibrant I actually have a somewhat normal BM. The stimulation from the vibrant mimics peristalsis but to a lesser degree but it still provides a vibrating movement where I had none. The Linzess helps the rest to come out. It’s 89 dollars out of pocket each month but now I get my Linzess for free through Ab Vie I am on Medicare. Please check into the Vibrant capsule. I have more of a normal life with it. I take it 5 days a week, not on Tuesdays and Saturdays. For some, it may be all you need but I have scar tissue throughout my colon and it doesn’t move hardly at all on its on. Before Linzess I was pooping hard rock pebbles and miserably constipated for 36 years. I was a vegetarian and active and extremely active but the history of endometriosis ruining my intestines. Even after the hysterectomy and lysis of adhesions they just put me on estrogen and so the Endometriosis continued to grow. I should have also been put on progesterone but I wasn’t. So the endometriosis continued to grow, thus more scar tissue. Believe me I’ve been there and done that. Try the Vibrant capsule at least for two months, but stay on your usual regime but slowing take away your normal regimen if you find the vibrant capsule working.
