Severe Chest Pain after Reclast infusion?
I had my first reclast infusion yesterday evening at roughly 4:00 p.m. I made sure to drink extra water before the treatment and also took 2 Tylenol and a Benadryl in hopes of preventing a reaction. Later last night I started getting pain in my upper chest. Since I woke up this am the chest pain(and tightness) has spread, my resting HR is elevated and a I have a low grade temperature accompanied by a bad headache. I'm trying to stay hydrated, rest and not overreact. I am hopeful that this is just the acute reaction period and it will be over soon. It is now just over 24 hours since my infusion. Would love to hear if anyone else has had similar symptoms and how long it took to resolve. I really don't want to make a trip to the hospital if this is just something that happens to some people. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I forgot to add, I also have new pain in the backside of my upper left hip. 😔
phxmom, chest pain isn't a usual reaction. If you have any trouble breathing you should make the trip to the ER. It could be muscular areas and joints of the spine and chest. The worry is myocarditis or severe allergic reaction.
I hope you are feeling better by now, but you shouldn't hesitate to go if you have any doubt.
It is very common to have aches in the muscles and joints.
If the pain is unbearable your prescribing doctor can order a five day steroid.
