@grandpun Thank you for this information! I had 2 hip replacements last year, and the LAST thing I want to do is yet another surgery on the knee. Which clinic in Canada did you go to? I will be flying in somewhere from Atlanta. Sooo many questions when you have time...
1. Did you google your specific Dr. office in Canada?
2. Would you recommend them?
3. What hotel did you stay in close to that office, and how long did you have to wait to come home?
4. Did you try to submit to your insurance and was it a big NO?
5. Any reactions to the injections, pain soreness etc/
It was a clinic in Mississauga, Ontario, called Neupath, and yes I would recommend them, they were terrific. But I think the doctor that I had might be gone now, so that is a change from when I went. They will help you with the other details of how to do this - travel, hotels, etc. Currently not covered by insurance. I had no problems at all.

I have patella arthritis stage 4
I walk without problem but have skin sitting and standing and doing stairs
I don’t want to have TKR but doctor did not recommend resurfacing
I am on Apixaban after DVT and Prolia for osteoporosis
I have heard there is operation that repairs knee cap not total knee
I am
81 so long term solution is not necessary
In mid Canada the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba (north of North Dakota) has an excellent highly respected clinic doing Arthrosamid injections at $4000 Canadian ($2900 US) per knee. ---- Pam Am Clinic, 75 Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg. I have been a client for 30 years, top notch specialists. Haven't tried the new injections, still only doing cortisone for two arthritic knees. Determined to not have TKR. Love the gym and biking, walking not so much but can shop. Ran for 50 years. Like many here not sure of the efficacy of Arthrosamid. Hyaluronic injections were no better than cortisone for me at $750 C per shot.
