Does anyone have Cancer with autoimmune diseases
I have lung cancer 4.5 cm along with another spot 2.4 cm in my pelvic area with Maybe limited Sleraderma, Secondary Sjögren's, Raynouds disease , small vessel disease with antiphospholipid syndrome as well. I've had several ischemic strokes and have lower BP always. I have a team now of Dr's, but changing to John Hopkins whete my Neurologist is because I know oncology is much better there and I'm complicated to treat. I'm probably 3rd to 4th stage of Cancer and probably won't make it.. They are finding out this week what kind I have.. I don’t even smoke! Anyone else having this issue?

Thank you for your good reply! But if you read what I wrote you'll see that I WAS in my 30's. By your account I'm old too, 68 and older than you! Just don't forget your immune system is a part of who you are when you have cancer!
Yes, side effects but nothing life threatening at the present time. Please let us know what kind of cancer you have, and what treatment too.
Wishing you strength in mind and body, peace for your spirit.
@jw9 Actually, I worked in a foundry for many years! That environment, with silica sand, and ferrous sulphate, and manganese fumes, csused lung cancer, and like a ‘coal miner’s’ lungs, for many, according to medical records. that were kept by the company I worked for. So, I would think that you may be correct, that mixing chemotherapy chemicals, and especially with getting a metallic taste in your mouth, likely contributed, and/or may have caused a medical disgnosis that you have now! I have several neurological and sinus problems, that I believe contributed or caused at least one of my diagnosis! So sorry that you have to go through the difficult medical path, that you are on!
Thank you. We shall see next week. Biopsies are to be done in about 1 week.... I hope you are OK now....
I had breast cancer 2024. Very small. Surgery took care of it. No radiation nor chemo nor pill. Not enough studies done on Autoimmune patients to take the pill for 5 years.
Lucky lady!! Very happy for you!!
