What causes bilateral supraclavicular swelling? Not lymph nodes.
I have had bilateral supraclavicular swelling for about 7 months. My PCP thought it was my lungs. ENT thought it was fat pads. The pulmonologist looked at my CT and ultrasound and thought everything looked normal. None of them can pinpoint the cause.
Both swollen areas are large, about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. They are soft, no enlarged lymph nodes.
Has anyone else had something like this?

It might be some sort of infection, thankfully it’s not the nodes which can be more worrisome. Has anyone tried to remove some fluid from these swelling, is there any pain involved?
@frouke thank you for responding.
There is no pain involved and nobody has suggested removing any fluid.
My PCP still thinks it is caused by my lungs.
I am trying to get a referral to an endocrinologist.
@rimsky, I know you’re worried and I feel bad for you because it’s always scary when you have symptoms and they don’t have immediate answers, I think seeing a endocrinologist is a good idea because this is their specialty. I feel like a hypocrite saying this but trying to think positive and hopefully you will get help soon, please stay connected and let us know how things are going, all the best for you and good news only amen 🙏
@frouke thank you for your kind words. I will post updates if I learn anything new.
