klingebretsen, my comment is second hand from years ago. Surgery was managed successfully by Paul McCormick. Pain from this thoracic compression can cause chronic lumbar pain. While the surgery has a very high success rate, you'd want the skills of a surgeon who specializes in arachnoid web. It's a complex surgery.
