Pulmonary hypertension care AZ

Hello, anyone a pulmonary hypertension patient at Mayo AZ? What has been your experience with the doctor, nurses, and the hospital itself for PAH knowledge and care?

I have been diagnosed and am being treated by a local cardiologist but have considered whether or not I should see someone at Mayo Rochester. It's a 4 hour drive from home so do-able but I just can't decide if it's necessary. I have what they are calling mild PH and just started on Jardiance. Have you not seen a local doctor?

@carculmer been diagnosed 11 years, my PH specialist moved put of state and so I need to find a new specialist and an accredited center.

And to answer your question, yes you need an actual PH specialist who is accredited via the PHA site. PH is a rare terminal disease, at any stage it needs specific treatment immediately to slow progression. Yes, make the drive. Or look for someone accredited but closer at the link below
