Anyone taken Evenity (romosozumab) for Osteoporosis?
Has anyone taken Evenity? I understand it’s only been on the market for a little over a year. I’m hoping it will help with my severe osteoporosis. Any information is helpful.

@fossil omg, that is awful! You have not been lucky. These drugs for osteoporosis have always scared me. There are two side effects that I have experienced on Prolia: my cholesterol which was being sort of managed with repatha injections shot way up and hair loss. Compared to you, maybe I am getting off easy,-unless I have a stroke/h.a. from a blocked artery.
I always wonder if I had a fall would the Prolia really prevent a fracture?
May you have no more trouble with these medications.

I don’t have heart issues. But it can cause them. Trina
@trina24 Side effects with my first dose: 2 inch hard painful and itchy hive like on the back of my arm. Cold compresses helped. MY doctor and nurse practitioner injections in abdomen not arm. Abdominal injection site was fine, no problem. Back pain helped with a hot shower, probably bc of muscle spasms. Lightheadedness and little dizzy two days later. Went to ER, all was ok EKG, VS, and blood work especially calcium. Important to maintain calcium intake with food and supplements . Doc said to use citracal petites 200 mg each, have to be taken with food. Hope this helps!
I really do not want to take it.
Too many side effects. Tks. Trina
