I started on a Evenity I am having extreme fatigue,.
I started Evenity last month and I’m having extreme problems with fatigue that I never had before. I also am having G.I. problems. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, does it subside? I have used Reclast and Forteo with no problems. Thx

I started Evenity and had 4 months of the shots. Two weeks ago I woke up and could not stand on my feet. Both feet, ankles, knees and hands/wrists were swollen and extremely painful and stiff. I have RA and thought it was a severe flare, which I have never had before. I went to Urgent Care and was given prednisone. The pain got worse, I contacted my doctor, who upped the prednisone. Days have gone by, not feeling better. Two days ago, I finally got a video appointment with my rheumatologist. I told her that Evenity was the only change I had made. I was very active, worked out with weights, exercise bike, lots of walking, and yoga every day. She said she suspects that it is the reason for this. So no more Evenity, finished the prednisone yesterday and now just using prescription ibuprofen. Today was slightly better. I read that Evenity takes a couple months to leave your system, it’s been a month since my last shots, I am hoping this will continue to subside.
Never want to experience this again.

I just had my 7th injection and have had severe fatigue, particularly after this last one. I also routinely have severe back pain and general joint pain for about a week. I am toughing it out because I had a dreadful response to Actonel, a biphosphonate.
Wishing you well.
I am currently having extreme fatigue also after 7th injection. I have had a week of joint pain after each. I think thr fatigue will subside after the flu-like symptoms that I always get. I wake up and count remaining doses.
Wishing you well.
@debduiven I am into my 6th month of evenity and experiencing significant fatigue and malaise. Some joint pain as well. Any thoughts about what to do?
Fatigue seems to be one of the more common side effects of Evenity. I experienced it, and the nurse who administered my shots at the bone density clinic told me that many of his patients complained about fatigue. My solution (which helped) was a daily energy drink. I also made a habitat of bringing an energy drink with me when driving long distances--anything over an hour. This and coffee kept me from falling asleep behind the wheel.
Also, most of the benefits of Evenity come in the first six months. So, if the fatigue becomes unbearable, I suggest talking to your provider about terminating the treatment after six months.

1 ReactionI’m so happy to find this thread. I took 3 doses of Fosamax and started experiencing extreme fatigue. It was debilitating and I stopped taking it. Has anyone else had this using Fosamax?
I am due for my fourth dose of Evenity next week, but I have felt extreme fatigue and brain fog since being on it. I had no problem on Reclast before I was required to take the medication “vacation”. I had a distal femur fracture last year on Prolia. Not sure what I will do yet.
jsherborne, Evenity can cause low calcium, which can cause fatigue and brain fog. You might have your serum levels checked before you decide. The best bone gain on Evenity is in the first six months.
I have had ongoing joint pain and insomnia from evenity. I finished the 12 month series in April, started prolia one month later. Evenity stays in your body 64 days after last injections. ( per some research I read)
I am still experiencing joint pain, especially in my knees, and is worse upon getting up in morning.
Hoping that it alleviates while on no meds until next prolia injection in November.
After my 1st dose of Evenity, I slept for 18 hours. Now, after my 4th dose, I plan for 2 days of sleep, fatigue and lethargy. My doctor was surprised and told me she didn't know of others who experienced this. I am relieved to find others in this discussion who mention the fatigue as well.
