With eliquis being so costly, is anyone aware of studies or limited practice of using low dose eliquis 2.5 mg (or even less) combined with "high quality" third party tested low dose tumeric? Expect the RX companies not interested in any studies. How about university or independent research? Tx.

@maribel8 I'm VERY INTERESTED in this idea. It doesn't make sense to me that there are so many food products that are blood thinners and no one has figured out a way to effectively use them to prevent blood clotting. Of course, the RX companies wouldn't make as much money. I am tempted to just experiment on my own body! Do you know of a high quality third party tested turmeric supplement? I've been attracted to BioRoot. I haven't taken it yet but it looks reputable.

Eliquis is much cheaper in Canada and you can order from any of the Canadian pharmacies. I paid $150.00 for 3 months of 5mg BID
