Went into RVR ( tachycardia for 1.5 weeks) with a combination of 300mg per day and 100 metoprolol per day for a period of 2 weeks.( upped dosage by doctor to treat the tachycardia) RVR lead to pulmonary edema and acute heart failure. Not a pleasant experience. Now on amioderone 200mg per day, (insomnia/ headaches ) no metoprolol . Seeing electrophysiologist tomorrow.

@annaetherson Good luck! If you're heart is otherwise healthy, no obvious ischemia (due to blocked arteries), and you agree to an ablation, now is the time to do it. An ablation done well can keep your heart in rhythm for literally years. Ablations can often be time-limited as the disorder tends to progress silently. But yet another ablation, to the new area affected, can stop the arrhythmia again. I hope it works for you.
