New for me :super itchy skin rash on right shin.
I've had long covid 6yrs. This symptom was shared in past by others.... I never had. The itch is fierce about the height & wider than a ruler. Multiple pinpoint scabby bumps. Skin hot to touch& underneath tissue hurts if I scratch at all. I've gotten some only temporary relief spraying with anti-itch first aid antiseptic with lidocaine. Is this LC symptom pretty common? Will it persist ?

I have the exact same thing but it’s both my shins. They flare up and get hit and stabbing itchy so intense its drives me mad. I was told by my internal medicine doctor that it’s MCAS. As soon as I start itching and get patchy rashes I take an Allegra and Pepcid ac. It calms down almost immediately. I saw an allergist and he put me on Blextin that I take daily. I also use a good skin cream….not lotion but cream everyday on my legs. Try Unisec 10% or Uriage eau thermale xemose C8+
Good luck

1 ReactionI had Shingles in January. Only appears in one side. Confirned by a quick Urgent Care visit. Took Acyclovir since I caught it quickly.
Had Long COVID since 2021.
Just a thought ..
I too have extremely itchy spots that start out about a pinprick and can go my to a one half inch spot. So itchy I cannot sleep. It appears, for me, covid took away all of the natural oil on my skin making it vulnerable and dry. It I apply colloidal oat cream to the skin of my lower legs every day, the spots do not develop but if I miss a few days, one will erupt. I tried over 20 creams and a trip to the derm doc with no avail. Then ordered this cream from Canada and no more spots.
