D3+K2 Recommendation Please
Could someone please recommend a good D3+K2 supplement without synthetic ingredients?
I have read that plant based is best and those that use lichen and chickpeas.
Has anyone used one from Thorne or Sports Research?
What is the recommended dosage? I have seen high doses like 5,000-10,000 iu of D3 in many of the brands and I would not want to take that much, especially in addition to the amount in my multi- vitamin.
I am 73 and have progressed from osteopenia to osteoporosis in some areas most likely due to taking Anastrazole for the past 2 1/2 years for breast cancer. I stopped taking calcium supplements and I am trying to get it through food instead.

1 ReactionYou might want to check your diet with cronometer. You can enter anything that you take by mouth including supplements and it will check to see how you are doing in getting your daily allowances. I just use the free version, but I have friends that like the premium version where they can input their recipes etc.
I use Designs for Health Emulsi-D3 Synergy 2000 IU Vitamin D Liquid with Vitamin K which is designed to be a highly bioavailable, non-GMO, and natural-source liquid supplement, specifically using natural emulsion technology that is free from synthetic surfactants. It combines Vitamin D3, K1, and K2, typically derived from natural sources, https://www.cambiati.com/product/emulsi-d3-synergy-1oz-liquid/

1 Reaction@beachbabe Honestly, vitamins are not going to be nearly enough. At the very least, you need weight-bearing exercises.
That said, the D3 dosage is highly dependent on your blood test. Do you have a vitamin D3 number? To give one example, mine was 27, and after taking 4000 IU a day for four months, it doubled to 54. Other people are different. It's a trial-and-error thing. Unless you have a severe deficiency, you don't need to take 10,000 IU. If you had such a deficiency, better to discuss with your doctor.

I have had no vitamin D deficiency. It was 60 on the last lab work.
I realize vitamins alone will not be deficient and I am doing weight bearing exercises.
I am not asking for help with treating osteoporosis. I am only looking for recommendations for a good vitamin D3+K2 supplement since I just ran out of the one I've been using and thinking of changing.
I know you mean well but I am just looking for a new supplement.
I take D and K using separate products. They put D3 in everything these days so I like to keep them separate so I know what I'm taking.
I'm using the Kirkland Signature D3 50 mcg softgels from Costco. Very cost effective and last a long time.
I have been taking this Vitamin K supplement for years: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWH7QPX6
They combine K2 in MK4 and MK7 plus have K1 as well. Unfortunately, they are out of stock right now. Hoping they get them back in stock soon as I am nearly out.

1 ReactionI have used Nordic Naturals Vitamin D3 gels for awhile. They come in 1000 or 2000 units, maybe 5000 as well. For Vitamin K2, after starting out with MK7 that resulted in increased palpitations for me, I switched to MK4, which is hard to find. I use Carlson Vitamin K2-Mk4 which comes in 5 mg capsules. I take one after breakfast with the D and another in the evening with dinner. Neither is cheap, but I can find them at Sprouts or Natural Grocers. I think Whole Foods carries them as well.
I would pay money to have your lumbar T-score!

3 ReactionsOne doctor suggested taking Prolia or Jubbonti injections for my osteoporosis; but another doctor thought I should pass because it has too many side effects. What do you suggest?
