Incidental lung nodule different Dr opinions help

@sueinmn what happened is test came back high risk so I’m in getting a biopsy robotic all the nodes showed non malignant cells as well as lymph nodes. But I had lots of chronic inflammation and history. She said still have high risk of cancer not yet seen. Why did they just not take nodes out , I have to go every 3 months to see if it is visable. This is awful. Like watching a pot boil I feel very helpless

@alic I think you need to have a talk with your doctor about what she means by "high risk."

As for why they did not remove the nodules, invasive surgeries are avoided unless absolutely necessary. Most lung nodules are benign, so jumping into potentially unnecessary surgery is too risky.

I'm sorry you have to deal with the worry for the next few months, but it is better the risk of an unneeded operation.
