1 Reaction@blowerk1216 thank you. I am going to experiment earlier in the day first. I have a touchy digestive/bowel system and I understand magnesium might present some undesirable problem, if you know what I mean. I never realized that it was not included in my daily one a day vitamin. So I could really be low on it and I am really hopeful that it really will help along with the Methylated B12 vitamin. I hope I can take it before bedtime since it will help with sleep. Thank you again.
@starbright375 you are most welcome, good luck to you

1 ReactionThose are the only symptoms you mention- I get that is a lot. But I’ve been searching for 18 years after a bad femoral head break , for an answer to my chronic pain of my right leg. NOW I’ve gotten an answer and it’s something that finally makes since- that I have had long before my accident !! hEDS or HSD - autoimmune connective tissue disorder. My “looseness” causes my body to constantly compensate and it’s painful. There is a blog on Mayo that may help you see if you belong.
I take Norco to help me get through the agony-
Physical and Physiological. I also do what I can- like I can ride my bike much easier than walk. Good luck. My Doc

@blowerk1216
…very grounded advice offered for both the Magnesium Glycinate and Methylated B12 especially the magnesium. I have been helped by both. Neuropathy and aging work their “con” so stay committed to your objective of feeling better and keep both your mind and body engaged. You will feel better in time. I believe in you.

Great discussions and information. What kinda daily doses of Gabapintin are people being prescribed? Anyone ever have a great pain free day?
Gabapentin comes in doses of 300mg and is effective especially if I want to sleep through the night, and so the poor fellow can get away with just one time up for plumbing needs. There is a downside with available research that postulates the medication can lead to cognitive impairment. This is a very touchy topic
for me personally for me and became a label once mentioned in medical correspondence and then became documented. This led in turn to many an instance of being perceived as damaged in the manner I was viewed and not able to comprehended what was shared with me. Both the physician and patient require fairness in their exchanges. Gabapentin is effective and assures a degree of relief without causing a stupor so you can function like you normally would. At least that is what my experience with it has been over more than five years. Hope this helps and you experience a safari of pain free days.
@starbright375 I have Fibromyalgia, RLS, arthritis, neuropathy etc. Along with Fibro prescription meds, I find it helps my sleep to use a product called Calm by Natural Vitality. It is a magnesium powder that I mix in water. There are a couple of flavors but none of it tastes bad, to me. I have used it daily for about 6 years with no side effects. I have found my path through all the disease I have, through researched homeopathic/ vitamin support. I have to do many things to make my quality of life better. I am prescribed Tizanadine muscle relaxer to help me sleep, It helps with RLS and with the sleep disorder that accompanies Fibromyalgia. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you. It is a fact that if you have quality sleep, your pain will be lessened.

3 ReactionsBeen on many of those meds, get steroid injections in back of hip to help sciatica.
However after years of battling, endless MRI's, scans you name it, gabapentin blah blah, only real true change after years of suffering was this by John Sarno.
Am now doing jumping contests with 16 year old kid, old man here was rocking a cane an placard for two years, to finding this and about TMS, or tension myoneural syndrome.
The stories from doctors about treating their patients is chapters 6-9, wanna cut to chase jump in there, because I highlighted every part that reflected my experience, then passed it off to pain doc and a medical student.
Jus saying.
