I had back surgery in February 2025. A Fusion! The Neurosurgeon says X-ray always looks good. He doesn’t know what is causing all this pain all over my body. My primary care has done a MRI, X-rays, blood work and Ct scans. All they have found is I have anemia and arthritis in my neck. My feet, toes legs hurt bad and my arms and hands.

1 ReactionHi, my name is Ann. I have had 8 orthopedic surgeries, have osteoarthritis of both hips, severe TMJ and chronic migraines. I suffer with severe depression because of the pain and I am struggling to do basic activities. I have a pain MD, but he is only interested in doing procedures. I am allowed 2 Norco a day, that doesn’t even begin to help how I feel. I am seeking support to help my emotional state and improve the quality of my life.

Thanks the response. A year and half ago I started experiencing pain in both legs and feet, from the knee down. I sit at work for several hours. I have little ability to get up and stretch my legs regularly at work. My symptoms are:
Aches and pain. Pain can be long lingering lane. .
Warm legs and some times extremely hot legs.
Restless legs, many times before bed or while driving. I take my shoes off while I’m driving. Various types of shoes.
Dry skin.
Sometimes legs are swollen.
I have these weird brown blackish markings on my legs.
I’m on Gabapintin and blood pressure medication.
If anyone has these symptoms, I would definitely want to hear about it.
I was in severe pain due to a hernia surgery with mesh & now I'm in just incredible-severe-debilitating pain due to a removal surgery to take out the mesh 12 years ago. Slowly the pain got or gets worse by the say & I can't find anyone who can help me as pills, chiro, nerve blocks did not work.
I saw my PC last week & he finally recommended a pain pump. I'm not sure how I feel about this yet but if it offers just 1 minute of of relief I'll be more than happy!
What does everyone think of pain pumps?
FYI DO NOT get a hernia fixed. If you do, go to the Shoudolce clinic in Canada to get surgery to fix the hernia without mesh! If I could do everything over I would have never have had the hernia fixed & that's where I'd go without a doubt!
Just trying to help. If I can help just 1 person I'll be more than happy.
SAY NO TO POLYPROPYLENE HERNIA MESHES! THE PROBLEMS YOU'LL HAVE ARE NEVER ENDING!

1 ReactionI'm glad that so many of you are able to show your medical professionals these posts. And, take them to heart. I can't seem to make my PM doc to take any posts from Mayo Clinic seriously. He just shakes his head dismissively. I am trying to find a new PM doc who will really listen to my pain and try some alternate treatments. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

1 Reaction@landrew62 He's lucky to have you! I went thru most of my 25 plus years & beyond, alone. This is daunting & i don't recommend doing this. But i found socializing very difficult, due to physical constraints & reactions by the opposite sex, to my walker & their perceived limitations I am not a good one for recommendations. I get getting more & more issues, until i ended up with my C3 thru Sacrum fusion. & i still have problems. I wouldn't recommend more surgery, as he's likely to get more horrible side affects. And being fused from neck. to sacrum, is a recipe for disaster. He may have Arachnoiditis, which is a horrible side affect, from too much surgery Just because you go to the Mayo Clinic, i would seek other recommendations
I am Ron, an 86-year old with chronic severe knee arthritis pain. How about PNS at my age?
@heisenberg34, your post breaks my heart for you. You absolutely need a new primary. WOW! That is just terrible. I am blessed and grateful for my primary. He’s one of a kind for sure. He’s always there for me. I can text, email, call anytime and he will respond. He calls regularly to check on me and my father. Also his pcp. He even makes house calls. I don’t know what we would do without him. You deserve so much better!
Best wishes and never give up looking for the care you deserve.
@dixiekidd76, I experience those symptoms as well. I have several autoimmune conditions. I also have CRPS, formerly known as RSD. It can move around like that. There is no cure that I’m aware of. Just a thought of something for you to check in to.
Best wishes.

1 Reaction@gypsyblue Thank you! I am grateful for your kind words. I had a wonderful PM doctor back in PA. Then, he went and retired! I was so sad. He was kind, empathetic, and even encouraged me to get other opinions. I have an appointment with a new PM doc next month. The only caveat is that she is very busy and is about an hour away. I guess it will be worth it if she is willing to look deeper into my pain. Who knows? (The shadow knows, right?) Have a blessed rest of the week!
