The Prostate Cancer Patient Empowerment Program (PC-PEP)
Hello everyone, I am 45yr old PCa, been on ADT since August 2025, and on 26Mar2026 i am scheduled for daVinci RARP.
Few days ago I ran into this program that provides home-based virtual support focused on the mental aspects of the recovery and survivor-ship.
It is a 6 months based program. I just signed up, but I have not yet started. Most likely will start after my surgery in 2 weeks.
I figured that I shared this information if anyone of you is interested.

3 ReactionsI've been through this free program - it was helpful as it provided me something that I could follow after my PC treatment that would help improve my physical and emotional health, and hopefully give me a better chance of surviving this disease.
I stumbled across the PCPEP program after my prostatectomy 4 years ago. I was wanting to do the right things to help my recovery, so instead of my own cobbled together approach to recovery from PC that was based on you a myriad of tube videos, scientific papers, resources from various organizations that left me confused, I signed up for the program.
I just needed somebody to tell me how to put the legs on all the info that is out there, and give me something I could follow.
There were a series of daily videos on topics that included diet, physical therapy, exercise routines, managing stress/anxiety, and the need for social connections - all that good stuff. It provided a structured, systematic approach to issues such as dealing with treatment side effects, and improving mental health and quality of life. As a graduate of the program, they provide ongoing monthly videos on various PC recovery related topics and community discussion groups.

It is great to hear form someone who actually went through the program.
I heard about the PCPEP from Rick Davis (founder of AnCan.org). He runs a bunch of virtual (online) support chats for PCa guys and some other types of cancers. I highly recommend participating in some of their sessions. They are candid and in most of the sessions they have doctors participating and providing various medical advice both for newly diagnosed and for the guys under treatment/surveillance.
But I am glad to hear that PCPEP worked for your and I am looking forward to start the program.
I hope that your recovery is progressing well and as always,
Stay strong and Be Positive!
