I was on atenolol years ago for anxiety. I now take Propanolol. I am not really intimidated by doctors. My suggestion is that you let the doctor know that you are part of a support group moderated by the Mayo Clinic and you have had others with your same "stuff" take...(atenolol or propanolol) Doctors are concerned about Benzos, and rightly so, but if taken correctly, as you know, they are helpful.
