Tentorial Meningiomas

Posted by jayjen2019 @jayjen2019, Mar 7 2:21pm

I have been diagnosed with Tentorial Meningiomas, I have a tumor wich in 3 weeks has grown 5mm, pushing on my brain, I have another. Which, in three weeks it has grown a tail, and it could be connected to my brain, i also have quite a few calcium deposits. .Now i'm not sure until I get there, in all jest, I named them thelma and louise lol 😉. They're both pushing on my brain, causing me mobility issues. I have fell six times in the last month, is really messing with my vision? Now I can't eat nothing unless I take a nausea medicine. Pain pills. Nothing helps the tumor migraines or whatever I get now on a daily basis is just excruciating and I just found out I had these tumors a month and a 1 ago. It's affecting sometimes my words.Sometimes I have angry outbursts or crying outbursts.Anyway, it's affecting a lot of things.I'm a tough lady.What i'm going to have to say.I'm scared of death right now.

I also have a tentorial meningioma which measures 2.4 cm. It causes balance issues and some numbness. What are the sizes of your tumors?

@dollyjaneprenzel they are going to have to be removed, they are pushing on my brain in the front and one's is pushing on my brain in the back. And to grow 5mm in 3 weeks ( im assuming) is a pretty significant speed . The back one grew a tail and may be hooked now. I have a bunch of calcium deposits as well. My headaches are constant. My vision is blurring worse.

@deblee well I found out about them January 20 th, started @ 1.9 3 weeks later they grew another 5mm. The one pushing my brain from behind in that 3 weeks grew a tail (possibly now in my brain) I have several , number unknown at this time, calcium deposits all over. My headaches get worse everyday. All day. Im assuming mine are not the slow growing.

@jayjen2019
Your situation is about the worst I’ve heard since being on this site. I am so sorry. When and where will the removals take place? Gosh, you are facing an ordeal. I hope you have something for the pain. No doubt the people around you are being supportive. If so, that is a great help. Keep me posted as I am truly interested and concerned. I am 79 and have had cancer three times. I understand the fear. Godspeed. Dolly

I too am sorry about your situation and headaches. My meningioma doesn’t cause headaches but my TMJ does. I manage the headaches successfully by taking a low dose of Sumatriptan as needed. Hopefully, your Arizona doctor will be able to treat or remove your meningiomas. Please be sure to keep us updated. Learning about the journey of others helps all of us. You have our support as well.
