Caregiver to adult son with astrocytoma

I would love to connect with someone out there who is caring for a loved one with astrocytoma.

My cousin who is only 28, was just diagnosed yesterday with grade 4 Astrocytoma. He was born with NF 1, and has had a hard life already. He had an MRI yesterday to see if it had spread to his spine (we are waiting on those results today) I am totally devastated. We are undecided with chemo/radiation, as it seems it will only give him a couple of months more to live, but miserable months.

@michelle999, that is such hard, sad news to get for your cousin and the whole family. What did your cousin decide about treatment? Does he and your family have a palliative care team and hospice support?
