GFR improved

Posted by mimi1234 @mimi1234, Mar 4 9:08am

Greetings all.
Feeling pretty good today as my lab results show improvement to 64.
I have been in the 50's all over the place for a few years now and with lots of work have gently lifted this. Also creatinine improved to .94
No salt (as much as humanly possible). continue exercise even when I don't feel like it, and drink 54 ounces of water per day. No aspirin products whatever. Added lots of fruit and veggies to my daily menu and learned how to make my own hummus!
My doctor continues to say my lowish numbers are due to old age (75().
I'll keep at it to hope it holds!!

Phew! I was pleasantly surprised to see my gfr results. I forgot to mention I cut way back on protein at mealtime I do allow some eggs and some cheese. Some fish but not much. The cookbooks mentioned on our site really helped! I don't know if this will hold, but it is good for now!
