@charley7wills They did change me to Xarelto and it was worse than Eliquis. 30 days of that and back on Eliquis. Thankfully they think or hope the blood clot has dissolved and for the last ten days I have been on one aspirin a day. Much Much better. My knees still have stiffness and other areas still have symptom's but getting better eveyday. I don't ever want to have to take either of those again. Hoping when I have the other knee replaced I don't get a blood clot.

Yes, I won’t ever take either one of them again! Ask your doctor before your other knee if they can give you the injections for your blood thinner. That is what I got for my broken ankle and it needed surgery and a month in physical rehab so the risk for clots might be comparable. You probably won’t be in a medical setting for that amount of time, so it could depend on you being able to self-administer or having someone inject you, but it is a relatively small injection that goes into a fatty spot like your abdomen.
