Is there such a thing as a Zoom cataract support group?

Writing, reading, and waiting days for a response is not what I need. I need to hear others voices for comfort telling their story. Besides, my eys are shot, how the hell am I suppose to communicate on a page I have to read WITH MY EYES... doesn't make any sense.

If its on Zoom (like having a doctor visit over the phone, but on any system, doesn't need to be Zoom)... I could hear other people's inflection in their voices... with my EARS... I know if I were an alcoholic, there are AA Zoom meetings 24h a day, 7d a week... I am just hoping there is some type of Zoom meeting for cataracts... Or... has the Opthamology industry totally dropped the ball, with such technology known to be in existence?? Where are the people who talk to each other anymore??? Especially in this vision related thing where you can use your ears, amnd maybne not so much your eyes

I am not aware of any zoom group on Mayo Clinic Connect for cataract patients. But there is a group focused on eye conditions which is here:
https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/eye-conditions/
You can join this group and then search on "Cataracts" to find postings related to cataracts.
There is also a cataract group on Facebook here:

I had cataract surgery at age 37 which was successful as I could see colors better. But now I am 81 and fighting glaucoma requiring 3 different eye drops daily.
I hope this helps. I would be glad to try and answer any questions you have.

I thought this was a great question, so I googled it and got an AI answer. I have not tried any of these but would be interested in hearing any feedback about them:
