@bouf1948 I simply felt that it was the Jab that brought it on as everything correlates to the last Jab. How far has your PN advanced, perhaps I really don't want to know
@golfgame I don’t think it’s from the Covid shots - I got it in 2010, and it’s idiopathic. Are you pre-diabetic? The doctor told me it could’ve been caused by that. I’m so glad Mama Bear works for you - I got some, and it does make my feet feel better, but it’s very expensive, and I think any kind of lotion would work for me.

@golfgame it started as tingling and numbness in my feet and over the years it progressed up both legs. It stops at the knees. I still have the numbness and my balance is off, and I use a cane. I get around the house pretty well without a cane, but if I go out, I use it. I think I said somewhere else that I’ve noticed that if I have sugar and a lot of carbs, it makes it worse. I still socialize with my friends and drive and get out. If you can find out what caused it, you might be able to eliminate it. However, mine is idiopathic. I wish you well!
I am a former marathon runner! After my third COVID shot in October of 2021, I started having issues with my feet and ankles! Tingling and burning sensations. In January of 2022, I was coming down the garage stairs, and I missed the bottom step and fell on my right side! I hadn't really noticed, but my balance was not steady. As the year went on, my balance started getting worse and I fell in the kitchen. As a result, I got two- disc compression fractures. I made an appointment with a neurologist, and he ran a number of blood tests and did an EMG along with some muscle biopsies and his diagnosis was CIAP, a form of neuropathy that affects the nerves and not the myelin sheath. As a result, there is no therapy to stop its progression. The doctor suspects that the COVID shots probably cause my immune system to attack my nerves! I hope this helps other individuals with similar issues!
Thanks for your post and am sorry to hear that you are still dealing with this after so many years. If I may ask, what were your early symptoms like after the shot? I am only two months into this journey and my symptoms seem to be lessening a bit with time. The theory is that the shot caused my nerves to into hyper sensitivity and there are times when they are calmer (e.g at night thank goodness). Just trying to navigate this situation as best possible

@joepdx Over time, your balance will get worse and this can cause falls! Symptoms appear to be worse, when I am under stress! A long day on my feet and the burning sensation is worse! If you have CIDP, then there is injected medication that can help quite a bit! There are blood tests and EMG with muscle biopsy to determine if you have CIDP!

@sportpop thanks for response - I don’t think I have CIDP based upon symptoms but it is definitely in the mix. It seems more like SFN. I have another visit to neurologist with nerve testing scheduled in late March. Still trying to identify what I have at this early juncture - symptoms just started the day after Christmas (three days post flu shot/covid shot). Also had Covid for first time ever back in late September. Probably should have not gotten the covid shot in late December but that ship has sailed. Never had any reactions to previous covid shots so never thought about the possibility. It is all so strange and frustrating

@sportpop. My PN started after my 2nd Phizer Covid shot, April 2021.
@sue4 has it gotten any better over the years?
No, worse for me - toes to feet to legs to back of butt.
