Radiculopathy after C2-7 fusion

Hi, so last May, I had C2-7 cervical fusion done (repeat of C3-6). It 'solved' the nerve involvement with my right arm, however, it caused NEW nerve pain down my entire left arm from my neck to my elbow. I have limited ROM and constant pain. The surgeon who performed the surgery said "it will go away", then it was "you have to give it a year". All this after 6 months of anti-inflammatories didn't help. Had an EMG (different doc who said, yep, radiculopathy at C6) and the surgeon refuses to acknowledge that I'm having it!! Now I don't know what to do. I cannot live like this. I tried a second opinion with Mayo Rochester - the guy on the phone for consult was so nasty and said that I need FIVE years of medical records / imaging / doc notes for a consult. I'm feeling very defeated.

I'd report the "nasty" person. Needing 5 years of records doesn't sound right. Did you get a referral or try on your own? IIRC a referral would include some sort of medical info. Did the different doc who said radiculopathy say what should be done about it?

Thx. I tried on my own for the referral. And no, he just did the EMG to confirm and sent me back to the surgeon.
