Jak2 positive, biopsy next: Does it mean I have blood cancer?

On your blood chemistry report are your platelets elevated, have they been rising over a few years? My platelets kept rising and finally I had a bone marrow biopsy which diagnosed MPN-essential thrombocythemia with Jak2 mutation. It is a chronic cancer which can be controlled with medication

@1995victoria I have a similar history but have been diagnosed with myelofibrosis. I will be undergoing a bone marrow / stem cell transplant which is the only cure in my case. Good luck with controlling the disease.
