Yes, for several months I had double vision, so bad I could not drive anymore, unless I closed the "double vision eye." I tried to get an appointment with an eye surgeon or a regular eye doctor. They seemed hesitant to take me.
I finally got in with a regular eye doctor and she said she was referring me to a doctor that specializes in double vision. The new doctor pasted a special temporary lense on top of my regular lense during my initial appointment, instant single vision again!! The new lense was called a PRISM lense and actually had metal vertical bars in it and sometimes I saw rainbows looking through it. Like looking at a waterfall.
Then I got new glasses with new permanent lenses, only one lense needed a prism lense. The new lense did NOT have the metal bars in it.
I have an appointment with my doctor in about 10 days for a 3 month checkup. I almost cried when I could see again.
When I drove as a passenger with someone it seemed the oncoming vehicles were going to crash right into us. Very scary and I closed my eye or looked at the floor. And watching TV was horrible. I did see twice as many 🐦 birds at my bird feeder though, ha ha.
So find an eye doctor that specializes in prism glasses. The lenses are expensive but my sight is precious.

Yes, prism glasses help double vision. I have them. See good eye doc or neuro eye doc. Good luck! Could be migraine too.
