Red light therapy for compressed nerve pain? PRP injections?

Has anyone heard of something called red light therapy for pain from compressed nerves? And has anyone had this done and has it been effective? Also wondering about PRP injections for damaged nerves from long-term compression.

I had PRP for a neuroma in my left ft 6 years ago and it lasted 6 years. I just had PRP mixed with a little of my fat called Lipogem injected into shoulder, thumbs, lumbar, knees and left foot. Cost 14,700. Out of pocket. I’d say it did help my back Some and my left thumb but my knees are worse and my left foot the same. Not worth the money to me. I’m sure you will get mixed reviews, but like me when you live in chronic pain you are willing to take the risk and cost.

I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with home red light therapy units to reduce chronic pain after lumbar and cervical spine surgery? Is it helpful with nerve pain and burning sensations in calves and feet after lumbar surgery? Also recovering from hip replacement surgery about a year ago. Any benefits to red light therapy for any of these conditions? If so, what brand did you purchase? I've read Helio, Rouge, and Mito are possible sites to purchase a red light therapy unit. Any information on things to look for in a unit would be appreciated.

I asked AI Chat GPT all about my condition, and asked for alternative medical treatments, including specifically red light therapy as a friend had recommended it. I then asked it to recommend where to get one and what kind. It gave me several recommendations and I went with Hooga. I try to use it daily for 15 minutes for the last 3 weeks. So far I notice no difference.

Thank you for your comments. I hope you get some results soon. I read that it takes time to take effect. Hope I'll see a post from you soon saying it was helpful!

Hi- I use one, but IMO skin needs to be exposed for it to be effective. Clothing blocks the light.. is my understanding, for the area(s) you are treating. I use Viconor and so far, very happy. Good luck!
