Saw 4 Drs 4 different meds, and new one Zalpolon does nothing:
Zalpalon

Haven’t slept for than 2 hours every night got almost 2 months and I’m “totally out of it!”

This has now become very serious as I can no

@bigj well, medical cannabis patients (along with their Dr.) refer to it as medicating. Whether eaten in whatever form, oil used; vaporized or smoked. I reside in a state where it has been legal since 2008 and I became a patient that same year.
For those with "pre-disposed" ideas about the subject, I would defy you to recognize that I use this medication (multiple times) daily but for myself; I am thankful it is available with all that I deal with personally.
@hoping25 acupuncture has helped me, too! And thanks for the reminder about Bach’s rescue remedy.
anxiety is a big issue for me. But Rx meds can have so many side effects!

1 ReactionHello ... I understand the struggle . I get it. Been dealing with it for 18 years.
I'm 58 and going thru menopause ... fun, fun. But the 'wakefulness' started kicking in when I was about 40.
Round and round, this medication, that natural supplement, this sleep hygiene protocol, blah, blah, blah ...
Long story short ... Check out insomniacoach.com
It's very helpful. Kind of shows us (and there are a lot of us) how to take the sting out of this monster.
Lots of info ... look around, listen to the stories of others and the advice of Martin Reed, who not only hosts the website but has first hand experience with this.
Please check it out,
We are here to help one another.
Blessings ~

1 ReactionFirst I am not a physician but only telling you what works for me. I do not do this every night. Only about 2 nights in a row. I have bad allergies and sometimes nose clogged at night and can’t sleep from breathing out of my mouth. The medication does not advertise that it makes you drowsy.
It I take a Zyrtec as indicated on label about 20 minutes later I am sleeping. Check with your doctor about other meds you are taking so as to know it is not contraindicated.
Good Luck

1 ReactionWhat is Bach Rescue remedy?
@vikkitennis
How early do you take the magnesium prior to actually getting into bed?
@dennismm I take it with food, as it unsettles my stomach.
I take it about one hour after dinner.
In the AM, about 30 minutes later.
