Hello, I’m new here, I was recommended to join and interact with others who are in a similar situation as myself, I don’t go out much due to chronic pain and I feel isolated, anyone else feel the same?

I have suffered with chronic migraines my entire adult life. In 2025 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, although I have suffered with it for a few decades. I'm 63.

I don't go out daily, but I do have productive days regularly. I have a wonderful friend who supplies me with marijuana and sometimes I have to take a couple of hits before venturing out, however my primary use is nightly, just before bed. I wouldn't be able to sleep without it.

@kerryflow How kind of you to ask. I am good thank you. And you? Hope you've been good busy, not the other kind..

I spelt 'site' as 'sight' in my other msg. Oopsie.
I might try it, she'd made a post on her site about playing chill games on it. Hope you both are doing hanging in like the rest of us. Whoo whee.
Cheerio.

Yes , I feel very isolated. Due severe CRPS , im bedridden a tremendous amount. Sometimes my body just wants to get up and move, and it can't.
I read a lot but even that gets old. I miss my life, I miss being busy. Its HARD, really hard. God 🙌 Bless.

Can anyone suggest a good antidepressant and pain medcation for chronic pelvic with restless legs, with no side effects?

Yes, I feel isolated. I have pain in my knee and other areas of my body. I do go out when I have to. Otherwise, I am at home. It is frustrating! I pray to God, as I am a Christian. Journaling can help, it has helped me in the past with other situations. There are special journals out there if you prefer that or you can get a notebook and start writing about your feelings, write how your day is going, positive and negative. Journaling might help you too. I also do puzzles, crossword puzzles, word finds, suduku and fill ins and coloring-adult coloring books. I have memory problems so I am supposed to keep my brain active! Find new hobbies, things that you enjoy doing whether it be crafting, reading, sewing, or other activities. I love scrapbooking, so I make scrapbook albums of family trips, my Son and his activities. Haven't done this lately, as we just moved so I need to get all my supplies organized in its area. Get to know your neighbors (when weather isn't too bad or cold!) Churches have bible studies and groups that you can get involved in-some are in person and some may be online. There is also NAMI- they have groups for people with depression, anxiety or if you have a family member experiencing a mental illness there are support groups for that. They have in person and online groups. We have used NAMI when our Son was suicidal and it really helped us. You could find a group to volunteer with or maybe do things from home to help, if you aren't able to go out to volunteer. We are here to listen, whenever you need to talk. You are not alone!

Everything has side effects, it is about trade offs. Constipation is difficult, but relief from pain is worth it. Cannabis helps my brain, however I have to be cautious if driving.

@anniesezu812 I can totally relate. I have severe adhesive Arachnoiditis. I c am also fused, C3 thru my sacrum. I'm on pain meds, but i can't do a lot of activities & i'm alone & i get depressed. Used to work out 6 days a week. Now, i go to senior fitness classes as much as possible ( even if i can't do most of class) Isolation, for me, makes me feel like a Freak etc... Any time you feel lonley, please call or? I can't text or sit on my computer for long.. I am also single, so not much stimulation for me Love to hear from you Lauren
