Severe endometriosis: Looking for advice
We don't know what to do. Not sure about the doctors we have seen. 22 yo daughter has already had right ovary and philopian tube removed. Endometriosis is also on ureter. Remaining ovary has 3.8cm cyst now. Pain is affecting quality of life. No resolution. Seeking new specialist. Maybe robotic surgery? Nothing is working that has been tried so far. Doctors are suggesting full removal of uterus and remaining ovary. Her life expectancy could be severely impacted. Looking for any advice.

As someone who endured endometriosis for years, I feel sorry for your daughter. It can definitly effect her quality of life. I was first treated in 70s when there were not many options. I had an ovary removed. Then followed with many laperscopic surgery in the following years, with a total hysterectomy at 40 years old.
The good news is that treatment for endometriosis has greatly improved over the years. Mayo specialists have created this video to explain the disease and treatment options:

I think you're on the right track to get a 2nd opinion at a clinic that specialises in treating endometriosis.
Is your daughter willing to seek a 2nd opinion?
