@sharonba my GYN is the one that told me not to use it, to use coconut oil instead. She is relatively young, has outstanding credentials, and is at the renown Woman’s Hospital here in BR where they are cutting edge. I have had such a great result with her advice, I am not questioning it. I am 78, I don’t have UTIs, I am not incontinant, I average 8,000 steps a day, just started resistance training, have great balance and volunteer for a litter removal non-profit. I am sticking with it. I will not use hormones on or in my body.

@llynch17056 good for you you do not need estrogen. Statistics show that Approximately 50% of women over age 50 will experience an osteoporosis-related fracture due to postmenopausal estrogen loss, with roughly 1 in 3 women affected by the condition overall. Within the first 5-10 years of menopause, women can lose up to 25% of their bone mass. This leads to fractures, chronic pain, and immobility. This is a serious condition that will affect the rest of these women’s lives. Everyone should make an informed decision re: Estrogen therapy. It’s not for all, but it is for many.
