@jacks90 It’s great that you were able to find the answer to correct your low platelet level. It sounds as though this took a bit of sleuthing to figure out but left a ‘bitter taste’ from your experience with doctors.

I agree wholehearted with you that we know our bodies best and that we need to advocate for our own medical care. But we do have to be cautious when making statements regarding someone else’s care such as telling people not to have a bone marrow biopsy. They can be incredibly valuable sources of information for doctors. Our Connect community guidelines allow us to share our experiences but to refrain from giving medical advice or telling people what to do.

What tests did you receive to diagnose the liver blockage? Where you given any prescription medications to help with that?
