@quilter4mom Hi I am also a caregiver for my husband diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in November 2025. Will the fecal transplant help with chemo symptoms? Diarrhea?

1 ReactionI was diagnosed with PC in October of 2021. I was treated with the FiveFU regimen for 6 months then 3 weeks of daily radiation. Surgery, performed by Dr. Truty, was done June 28 of 2022. It wasn’t fun but as of my last trip to Rochester Mayo “no cancer seen” on CT ! I feel grateful everyday that I’m feeling well and living my life !!
Just want to share with people that there is hope and to always look forward and not to give up!!

7 ReactionsHello @bobthebichon1 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I appreciate you sharing about the enzyme that has helped your husband. Could you share how this has helped him? For example, is he able to digest food more easily now?
As this is your first post, please share as you are comfortable, a little about his diagnosis and what treatments he has received.

1 ReactionHello @gmapri and welcome. I see that you say you have been diagnosed with probable stage 4 and that you will have a liver biopsy next week to determine the type. As the original CT scan was to look for possible pancreatitis, were you symptomatic at that time?

1 Reaction@hopeful33250 my primary symptom was upper abdominal pain, like right under the sternum. It had been going on for a couple of months and was getting increasingly more uncomfortable. I just knew this was a very different kind of pain and in an odd place, for me. I still get the abdominal pain, but take Tylenol for it, thus far. I have not been experiencing any other symptoms so far.

5 Reactions@piedmontsteve, so good to hear. I will be interested to hear about your appoinment in February.
PS: It won't be warmer. I sure hope you discovered the subway pathways.
Good evening,
To be honest, I feel confused and very worried. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. A month ago, he had a stent placed in his gallbladder to improve fluid drainage, and this resulted in an infection, which has now cleared up. Because of this, they waited to schedule his appointment with the oncologist. We have the appointment tomorrow, but I'm worried because he's losing a pound of weight every day and is very weak.
I need help. I want to know how to treat him, how to help him gain weight, so that whatever the doctor is going to do will work.
Thanks
