Tymlos 6 clicks
I’m 59 years old. Started on forteo in August. I was on it for 6 weeks but the body pain was horrible. I took 2 weeks off and then started Tymlos. Started at 2 clicks and have been on 6 clicks for several months now. I do well with it. When I went up past 6, the pain was unbearable. I’m not due for a bone density scan until January 30, but I was wondering if anyone had an increase just doing 6 clicks?

@lightlifts
You are correct but the principle remains the same. Some peoples' parathyroids may be more responsive than others' to Tymlos.
@normahorn agreed but the thyroid and parathyroid are different structures
@lightlifts the parathyroids hormone activates bone growth
@lightlifts
I mistakenly wrote thyroid rather than Parathyroid. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa.
@normahorn 😊😁😊
@rileyf how does timing of dose impact exercise?
I was worried about feeling lightheaded and dizzy so I prefer to inject at night. That way most of the side effects are gone.
@lori02
Hi what does it mean 4clicks. Pls explain. Thx
Can you explain what you meant when you said you “started at 2 clicks and have been on 6 clicks”? Were you referring to the Tymlos dosage? When I received my pen, it was labeled as 80 mcg, so I’m not sure how the clicks relate to the dose. Do you decide the number of clicks, or does the doctor? I just started Tymlos and have been having some unusual symptoms, so I’m considering asking my doctor if I can begin with a much lower dose. But I dont know how much is the lowest?
