@rjdowdell25 - sorry to hear you've had headaches for a long time and they have started occurring daily.

Have you stopped any antacids since yesterday? If so, are you having any stomach acid problems since then?

There are multiple Botox injections done at once in the forehead, temple, neck, shoulder areas. They are quick pin pricks. I don’t find it painful but some might.
The first injections did very little. The morning headaches were a bit less painful.
The Botox seems to get less effective after about two months.
The second injections have helped. I am not waking with headaches daily and when I do they are less intense. I am at about two months since the second set and effectiveness may be fading.
I’m due for a third set in mid April.
It is not cosmetic Botox but it does affect your muscles. My right eyebrow gets raised while my left eyebrow doesn’t. I’ll ask my NP next time. My NP said there can be eyelid droop but I haven’t had that.

@docb99 I have also done the Botox injections to the head. I think it’s about 31 injections or so. They are given every three months because that’s about when the effectiveness wears off. I have had my second round and it’s gotten better and overtime each round gets stronger and better and much more effective. I’ve heard from people who have been doing this for quite some time and are very pleased with the results. I plan to keep doing this.

@duchess926 I’m in my 3rd year and it took a year to feel relief and then after 2 years the relief has been slowly slipping away and now I’m almost back to 24/7 9-10 pain.
Hang in there though because many find great relief from BOTOX.

@mojo244 - Well not exactly the update i wanted to hear but I’m hoping for good results… most recently I had a very bizarre problem with my doctor. Apparently, he was under a lot of pressure to do a lot of Botox patients in a day and instead of being a little bit more gentle, he was very rushed through the procedure and kind of randomly and very fast stabbed me all over the head. I did end up with a lot of pain in another week and ended up having to go to an emergency room in a hospital. I needed to be put on intravenous painkillers. It’s been a few weeks since the reaction and I think it’s just starting to calm down. i’ve also gone through another procedure for nerve pain. I’ve had trigeminal nerve pain caused by a dentist. but through my own research, discovered a wonderful nerve pain procedure called Scrambler technique….also known as Calmare Therapy…non invasive and not painful….
