On Letrozole: Can I safely use supplements for UTI infections?

Welcome @mocheta I would ask my doctor about any supplements, usually just a message call to the nurse is enough if you don’t have an appointment coming up.
That being said, UTI was a problem for me as well and my doctor recommended taking cranberry pills. They don’t upset my stomach like the juice and you get a bigger dose. I take two a day and (knock on wood) I have not had one for several years. I started this while on endocrine therapy, although I believe it was Arimidex.
Have you been taking this supplement for a while? Does it work well?

Yes it had work for me that is why I would not want to level it. It also has vitamin d 1500 IU which my doctor says is good that I do not have to take any vitamin d because this is enough

@mocheta, I hope your UTI has cleared. A pharmacist can also be helpful when you have questions about drug and supplement interactions. Were you able to get an answer from your doctor or nurse?

I just wanted to share that after taking l letrozole for 6 months I started feeling like I was always having UTIs. I spoke with two gynecologist, who both said that because letrozole depletes all estrogen in your body, the vaginal wall gets extremely thin, and your bladder can be irritated. Both recommended taking bona fide reverie. You can purchase it online or I understand Walmart sometimes carries it. The gynecologist can give you a code for discount subscription and a sample if you want to try it. After taking it for a month, my constant urinary tract symptoms completely disappeared. It is a natural substance used in your vagina and it helps to thicken the vaginal walls. Anyway, just wanted to pass it on for those of you taking letrozole and having similar symptoms.

Thank you so much for the information. I had to stop letrozole due to severe uniary and vaginal symptoms. Started exemestane which stopped the symptoms but came with it's own problems such has extremely painful teeth and dry mouth. Now, Tamoxifen will be the next step.

@16bernie well I had been using uqora for years with letrozole and I had not had any uti or vaginal. What letrozole does for me is that gives indigestion and seems to In crease my acid reflux be cause I have an hiatal hernia. Ask your doctor if you could use it with your treatment. I showed si ce the beginning to mu noco doctor and he says is okay. It also has a good source of vitamin . On letrozole I am starting I only has like 2 months

Oncologist I mean he said is okay to use it with letrozole
