@Contentandwell, You are right about sunscreen. I have never had a problem with sunburn and grew up on a farm. I have also been advised to use a good sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher was recommended at the time, so you know how long ago that was!), but have never gotten into the habit. I use positioning more than sunscreen to protect myself. Since I have allergies I do not miss being outside much.

@contentandwell Good point - medicine is a practice and we all wish it were perfected! Teresa

@contentandwell I agree, the pool is very important, that is why I use my AARP benefits there. I never go there late at night, however, my daughter is a shift-worker (R.N.) and she has been there late at night and has never felt uncomfortable. Probably 24/7 places are best for shift workers. @contentandwell It sounds like you work hard at the sodium level - that must be hard because there is so much sodium in almost everything, especially when you eat out. Praying that your appointment goes well tomorrow! Teresa

@hopeful33250 I do hard on it when at home and I try to go to restaurants that are able to customize but sometimes it's impossible when out. We are going away in the fall with my son and his girlfriend. I was thinking a hotel but he pushed for a VRBO and I am so glad now because I won't have to deal with a lot of eating out. We will go out a few times of course but overall I can cook what will work for me. I have always avoided condos in the past because if I am on vacation I want to relax, not cook, but this time it is the best option.

@hopeful33250 Teresa, the pool is the thing I use most at my club, it is essential for me with my knees. Today I go in a little while for Pilates and then I will do the pool after that. I like the pool because I can do it vigorously making it aerobic. I got new hearing aids in the winter and they are high tech. I can stream the music on my iphone to the aids so I am jogging up and down the pool in time to whatever is playing. It really helps to make time pass more quickly. I do not submerge my head of course.
JK

@hopeful33250 Thanks Teresa. I have no concerns about tomorrow, it is a routine check up and other than the minor complications caused by the immunos I am great, thankfully.
JK

@contentandwell I love the pool for the same reason, my knees! That hearing aid is quite incredible if you and stream music to the aids. I'm impressed! Teresa

@contentandwell Sounds like a good plan! Teresa

@hopeful33250 They really are nice, very high tech and the music makes the water jogging go by faster. I know I tend to vary my movement depending on the beat of the music and I hope no one is watching, they might think I am really odd. My son is so funny, he says he would love to see that! He just might get the chance when we go away together in the fall. I told him I didn't think I would do my water walking/jogging in a condo pool but he said why not, he will do it next to me!
The phone goes right into my hearing aid too so when I have it by the pool I know when it rings and I can go over to where it is and answer it -- I could hear someone talking but they would not be able to hear me. I bought a little water case for the phone that floats if it should fall in.

@contentandwell Isn't technology great! Teresa
